What is SmoothEye®?
SmoothEye® is a new and exciting non-ablative Fotona SMOOTH® mode treatment for tightening of the periocular region to reduce the appearance of periorbital wrinkles. SmoothEye® significantly tightens loose and ageing skin of the eyelids and periocular region with little-to-no downtime and maximum patient comfort, making this a very sought after non-invasive cosmetic procedure.
After a few treatment sessions at MediDermic, the results are improved skin elasticity, overall structure and volume with significant wrinkle reduction.
This treatment can be used as a stand-alone treatment or combined with other treatments ( e.g skin needling, Fotona 4D and anti-wrinkle injections).

How Does It Work?
At MediDermic we use Fotona’s unique SMOOTH® mode laser system. The heat from the laser stimulates collagen remodelling and initiates neocollagenesis in the dermis. The result is an overall improvement of wrinkles, laxity and elasticity in the treatment areas around the eyes.

The laser energy heats up the dermis which not only tightens the skin but also stimulates the fibroblast cells to rebuild damaged collagen to improve the texture of the skin.
This treatment causes a warm, tingling sensation and minor discomfort. Numbing cream is applied and usually well-tolerated.
This treatment is completely safe. At MediDermic the treatment is performed by a qualified team; They follow the most up-to-date practises to assure your safety.
The number of sessions varies depending on the result that is desired and condition of the skin. Generally, 3-4 treatments with 4-6 weeks interval.
Approximately four weeks after your course of treatment, you will see some initial improvement on your skin’s appearance and elasticity. Full result takes about 3 months because collagen takes time to regenerate and rebuild.
The treatment itself is about 30 minutes, but there is an additional 30 minutes for numbing preparation.
There’s a 2 to 5 day-minimal downtime , minor redness, swelling, dryness or peeling. Dermal Therapist will advise post treatment cream or ointment.
There are no serious side effects associated with SmoothEye® treatments. After your treatment, your skin may appear red, and there may be some mild swelling. Some mild flaking and dryness may occur. We recommend to avoid heat exposure for at least 48 hours. At MediDermic, SmoothEye® is performed by an experienced Dermal therapist.
